Birthing Experience

Beaumont provides a variety of services and amenities to make the birthing experience as positive as possible. From comforting touches like personal refrigerators and iPod docking stations to the most advanced obstetrical care in high-risk pregnancies, Beaumont Hospitals offers expectant parents a range of services and specialists to meet any childbirth need.

In our Family Birth Centers and Mother Baby Units, our all private rooms accommodate you, your partner and other loved ones throughout the birthing experience including labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum periods. Amenities vary by location but include:

• Special furniture for a birth partner to spend the night
• In-room nursery equipment
• Comforting finishes
• Lactation consultants
• Hydrotherapy tubs
• Room service
• Around the clock access to specialists, if needed

All three hospitals have surgical suites that are equipped specifically for c-section births. All of the operating rooms are also designed to accommodate multiple births.

While most babies room with their mothers, Beaumont Children’s Hospital also offers advanced post-natal care, including neonatal and pediatric specialists to care for your child in our special care nurseries and neonatal intensive care units.

And after the birthing experience at Beaumont, you are invited to take part in our award-winning Parenting Program, which provides support and education to new parents through experienced parent volunteers. This free program offers phone calls, individual contact and group meetings to help you in caring for your newborn.
