We offer numerous birthing options and provide informative classes to parents who are expecting. Learn more about giving birth at Beaumont.
Our state-of-the-art family birth centers combine the most advanced technology with warm, family-friendly private suites to make your birthing experience everything you want it to be.
At our Royal Oak and Troy hospitals, you will recover in our Mother Baby Units, which also offer all-private suites for the comfort of you and your family. At Grosse Pointe, you and your new baby will receive one-on-one care in our private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suites, where you will stay from arrival to discharge.
While most babies spend their time at the hospital in the room with mom, both Royal Oak and Troy have nurseries that offer centralized care for things such as tests, bathing or just to allow mom to get more rest during recovery. Should the need arise, Royal Oak and Troy also have state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care units (NICU) to treat critically ill or severely premature newborns. In addition to neonatologists on call 24 hours a day, physicians in 13 pediatric specialties are here to help a baby with special needs.
We understand that our work is not done after you give birth. This is why Beaumont is committed to providing valuable postnatal care and education to new parents. We’ll help you understand all aspects of infant care so you can feel comfortable taking your new baby home.
And, our Parenting Program provides extensive support to first-time parents to help you transition to your new role as parents.
